St. Benedict’s advice for writers

Blue Cloud Abbey
Marvin SDDid you know? Though he died on March 21, 547, while in prayer before the altar, the Church celebrates the life of St. Benedict every year on July 11. In 1964, Pope Paul VI named Benedict patron of Europe.

His advice — “Flee the world!” “Pray and work” — is especially important for writers.

We celebrate his feast today.
