You already know that setting up your Amazon author page is a great way to help readers find you and learn about your books. The information they find on the author page will help motivate more sales, and help build your platform.

But how do you do it? Here’s the easy 1 – 2- 3!

  1. Join up! Go to Author Central and click “Join Now.” If you already have a personal Amazon account you can sign in just like you’re signing into Amazon to shop. If you don’t have an existing Amazon account select “No, I am a new customer” and follow the prompts.
  2. Find your books. Enter the name your books are written under and a list of your books for sale on Amazon will pop up (if not you can search by ISBN or title). Select one of your books, and a confirmation email will be sent to you to confirm your identity as the author. Go and check your email and follow the link to confirm the account. Note: Amazon usually requires a publisher to also verify your identity, so someone at OSV will receive an email and confirm it quickly. The verification can take up to seven days, although it’s usually up much more quickly.
  3. Start populating your Author Central page! The Author Central page is easy to populate with photos, your bio, links to your blog and twitter accounts, upload videos, create an events list, manage editorial reviews, and work with customer reviews. There is a very handy and rich “help” section right on Author Central — so take a look at the articles there to help you if you get stuck.

You’ll love being able to point everyone you know to your Amazon Author Central page — the central hub for all things “you!”
